Bob was the author’s first corgi. He came into her life when she was a single, working mom of three young children. Although not exactly wanting a fourth child to take care of, Bob quickly became a companion, a nurturer, a wanderer who made his way into so many people’s hearts…the author and her neighbors alike.
Charming, funny, talkative, insistent and always there to lick anyone’s hand, for hours…that’s who Bob was and why the author has written the first Bob book, with more to come.
His stories are many and, like Bob, are meant to bring the reader joy.

Bob Comes Home

Bob Comes Home is a book about the author’s first corgi, Bob - and the immediate connection that he made with her and her children, the love that was immeasurable and the joy he brought to their lives.

The first book in a series about his antics, his playfulness and his adventures. Written in a concertina (accordion style), the book was designed both as a tribute to Bob as well as a creative object d’art that speaks to the author’s love of a hand held book. The illustrations bring Bob’s story and personality to life.

The author is a textile designer by trade and a corgi lover for life. Jennifer has worked in the upholstery fabric business for her entire career and loves the intensely creative environment it has offered her, the collaborations with colleagues around the world and the myriad of experiences and travel it affords her.

She is also a lover of books…actual physical books, and enjoys reading some books two or three times. Add to this, the two or three corgis who are always there to greet her every day, with a wiggle of their amazingly cute butts, and you have the Bob Books: a passion born out of a love of the written word, a creative mind and the cutest dogs that ever waddled this earth.
